Allow Me These Books In Judicial Custody: Manish Sisodia
After the Delhi Rouse Court extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy CM of Delhi, he asked for a few books. On March 22, Sisodia urged the court to allow him some spiritual and religious books to be taken into Tihar Jail. Notably, the request was made during the court proceedings in money laundering case registered by the ED. Sisodia will be in custody till April 4.

ED Officials To Question Manish Sisodia In Delhi Liquor Scam
The investigation against Manish Sisodia, the prime accused in the Delhi Liquor Policy intensified, as the Enforcement Directorate is scheduled to question him. After the CBI, ED officials will visit the Tihar Jail, Delhi, where the AAP leader is lodged after his arrest in the scam. Manish Sisodia is also scheduled to appear before the Delhi Court, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam.

ED To Visit Tihar Jail And Question Manish Sisodia In Delhi Liquor Policy Scam
After the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also scheduled to question Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy CM of Delhi and AAP leader. On March 7, the ED officials are going to visit Tihar Jail, in Delhi to interrogate Sisodia, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. Notably, the Delhi court extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia, prime accused in the scam, till March 20.

20 Year Old Inmate Of Tihar Jail Dies Over Scuffle: New Delhi
In Tihar Jail, Samir Khan, a 20-year-old inmate died following a scuffle with another prisoner inside a barrack, confirmed officials on August 24. Khan was in jail number 5, convicted in a robbery case, and received a head injury after being involved in a physical fight with another inmate. He was rushed to Din Dayal Upadhyay hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police registered a case for investigation.

JKLF Chief Yasin Malik Ends Hunger Strike After Demands Sent To Senior Authorities
Yasin Malik, the leader of the outlawed Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, concluded his hunger strike in Tihar Jail on July 22 after being assured that his demands/concerns had been sent to the top authorities. The Kashmiri separatist claimed that his case was not adequately probed. According to authorities, Malik has agreed to postpone his hunger strike for two months at the request of DG Prisons Sandeep Goel.

Terrorist Yasin Malik Returns To Tihar Jail After Being Hospitalized During Hunger Strike
Terrorist Yasin Malik returned to Tihar Jail on July 29 after being taken to RML hospital in Delhi due to blood pressure fluctuation. He has declined to eat anything and is still receiving IV fluids. On July 22, the 56-year-old went on an indefinite hunger strike after Centre failed to reply to his request that he be permitted to physically appear in Jammu court hearing the Rubaiya Sayeed kidnapping case.

CCTV To Be Installed As Per Delhi Court Order At Tihar Jail's Senior Police Offices
The Director General of Tihar Jail has been ordered by the Delhi Court to install CCTV cameras within the offices of the jail's Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. The court recently issued an order, stating, "It will further reflect transparency in the functioning of these offices." This was in response to an incident on March 27 where an inmate was reportedly mistreated within the chamber of the Deputy Superintendent in Jail.

SC Asks Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar To Come Clean On Rs 12.5 Cr Payment Made To Jail Officials
Hearing conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar's plea for transfer to any jail outside Delhi, the Supreme Court asked him to come clean on the payments he made to the jail officials. Reportedly, conman Sukesh paid around Rs 12.5 crore to the officials at Tihar and Rohini jails, to ensure his safety and protection. According to Sukesh's counsel, the payments were made by his associates outside the jail.
