Lomotif: TikTok 'Alternative' To Be Launched In India

After TikTok's ban in India, several apps with similar features entered the Indian market. A similar app, Lomotif, is set to launch in India with it's strategic partner Socialkyte. The new platform emerged at a time when netizens are looking for platforms to showcase their talent, via short video content. Reportedly, Lomotif will give opportunities to collaborate and express talent, making it one of the best alternatives for TikTok.

Pakistan Revokes Tik Tok Ban Over Provincial Court's Decision

Pakistan lifts the TikTok ban on July 3, however, ordering it to address complaints as it featured offensive content. Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) had forbidden access to the Chinese-owned app for the third time, following a private citizen’s petition. Though the suspension was discredited by the app’s fan base, the critics notified that it promotes vulgarity and LGBTQIA content.

TikTok India Head Nikhil Gandhi Quits ByteDance After An Year Ban

TikTok India head Nikhil Gandhi has planned to quit ByteDance after a year of Indian government banning the Tiktok app due to border stand-off with China. He was recently reassigned by ByteDance to the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and South Asia after the business in India packed up due to the ban last year. Known for 20-year-long experience in entertainment-based companies, Nikhil has served notice period to the company.

Pakistan Bans 'TikTok', Says Still Open To Review Decision 

According to reports, Pakistan has banned the Chinese app 'TikTok' on October 9 stating that the video-sharing app posted "immoral and indecent" content on its platform. The telecom regulator Pakistan Telecommunications Authority received complaints against the app and had earlier warned the authorities to comply by the norms. However, Pakistan has said that it is "open for engagement" to review the ban.
