Chennai Receives 79% Excess Rainfall In Nov 2021: Report
Chennai witnessed the "wettest rainfall" of 882.4 mm till November 28 which pushed the city under tremendous rains and floods. This year, Chennai recorded an excess of 79% rainfall in the month of October and November, receiving a total rainfall of 1097.6 mm. Reportedly, Pradeep John stated that Chennai recorded 1003 mm until 7:30 pm in November. Furthermore, this was the 4th highest rainfall ever recorded in a single month.
