Neeraj Chopra Bags Diamond League Meet Title With Historical 89.08m Throw
Neeraj Chopra, Tokyo Olympics gold medalist from India, won the Diamond League Meet title with his best throw of 89.08m. With this, Chopra becomes the first Indian to clinch the prestigious Diamond League Meet title. Chopra has been qualified for the finals which are scheduled to be conducted on September 7 and 8, and is also expected to take part in the 2023 World Championships.

Neeraj Chopra Pulls Out Of 2022 Commonwealth Games Due To Injury
According to the most recent sources, Neeraj Chopra, the gold medallist from the Tokyo Olympics, will not compete in the 2022 Commonwealth Games owing to an injury. Neeraj was India's greatest chance to win gold at the Birmingham Games, having most recently earned the silver medal at the World Athletics Championship 2022. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Neeraj earned the gold medal in the javelin throw competition.

Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra Sets New National Record In Javelin
India's Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra once again made India proud, and set his new record with a throw of 89.30 metres at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland. He secured a silver medal, bettering his own national record of 88.07 meters. Furthermore, after Tokyo Olympics, this is his first International competition. While Chopra secured a silver medal, Oliver Helander secured gold with a throw of 89.93 metres.

Union Sports Ministry Approves Financial Aid To Indian Swimmers

Neeraj Chopra To Receive Param Vishisht Seva Medal On R-Day
Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra will receive "Param Vishisht Seva Medal" on Republic Day, January 26. Posted in the four Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army, athlete Neeraj Chopra is the first Indian to win 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the Javelin Throw event. Bajrang Punia Joins PM Modi's 'Meet The Champions' Initiative, To Visit Panipat School

He will join PM Modi's "Meet the Champions" campaign, spreading awareness over balanced diet, sports and fitness. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, the gold medal winner at Tokyo Olympics, was honored with the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award by President Ram Nath Kovind on November 13 in New Delhi. Besides, Wrestler Ravi Kumar, Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, Hockey player Sreejesh PR and Manpreet Singh also received the award. Para-athletes such as Avani Lekhara, Pramod Bhagat, Krishna Nagar, Manish Narwal, and Sumit Antil received the award.

Olympics' Gold Medal Swimmer Madison Wilson Hospitalized For Covid-19
Gold Medalist Australian Swimmer Madison Wilson recently tested positive for Covid-19, despite being double-vaccinated. She has been shifted to a hospital facility for treatment and quarantine. Wilson took to Instagram and wrote, “I am taking some time to rest, and I am sure I’ll be ready to bounce back in no time." As a result, she also withdrew her participation from the International Swim League competition in Naples, Italy.
