Goa Police Arrest Man In Rape Allegations Of Tourist Woman, Probe Underway

The Goa police have arrested a man from Gujarat for allegedly raping a woman tourist at a resort in Assonora village of North Goa, confirmed an official. The incident took place on August 23, and based on the woman's complaint, the police arrested the 47-year-old accused, identified as Laxman Shiyar, who was also on a visit to Goa as a tourist. The duo met on a flight, and befreinded.

Sikkim: 2,000 Tourists Stranded Amid Heavy Rainfall

Heavy rainfall and flash floods created chaos in the touristy place of Sikkim. As many as 2,000 people are stranded in the region, confirmed reports on June 17. The road from North Sikkim district headquarters Mangan to Chungthang has been blocked at Pegong Supply Khola, disrupting vehicular traffic, the officials said. Tourist, Driver Fall Into River While Clicking Photos In Sikkim; Driver Found, Tourist Missing

In North Sikkim, the body of a local driver who fell down to river bed from Rit Chu Bridge while clicking pictures, has been recovered by Indo-Tibetan Border Police, on June 9. Reportedly, while clicking pictures, a tourist, and a driver lost balance and fell from the bridge. A search is on to find the missing tourist. Furthermore, the tourist who hailed fro Bihar's Patna, was holidaying with family.

Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' Space Tourism Company, Sends 6 People Into Space For Fifth Time

Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' space company, safely launched its sixth tourist flight to space on June 4. Six individuals were taken 62 miles (100 kilometers) above the Earth's surface into space. The flight took off from Launch Site One, the company's West Texas site. New Shepard is made up of two reusable components: a rocket and a capsule. This was the 21st flight of Blue Origin and New Shepard.

Aero Club Tourist Plane Crashes In Les Adrets, France; 5 Dead Including A Kid

In southeast France, a tourist aircraft crashed near the village of Les Adrets. On May 21, five bodies, including a kid, were recovered at the accident site. Local authorities were alerted by eyewitnesses to the incident, and over 60 firefighters were dispatched to the scene to put out the fire. The plane was taking its first flight and belonged to an aero club. An inquiry is ongoing by local authorities.

Tourists To Soon Be Able To Enjoy Skydiving From 10,000 Feet In Madhya Pradesh

Adventures and skydiving lovers can now experience the thrill of diving from 10,000 feet in Bhopal and Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, said MP Tourism Board MD Sheo Shekhar Shukla. Moreover, a sky diving camp will be organized in Bhopal on March 1 and 2, and in Ujjain from March 3 to 6. However, camps will be held near the airstrip in Ujjain and in Bhopal near the Raja Bhoj Airport.

No Booster Shots Needed For Tourists In Hawaii

Recently on February 8, state governor Ige announced no COVID-19 booster shots mandatory for travelers as a part of its Safe Travels program in Hawaii. "In making this decision, we considered declining COVID-19 case counts," the official statement stated. In Maui and Honolulu, travelers will have to show a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test. Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Josh Green said Hawaii may look to end the program by the spring.

Desert Cat Presence Reported In MP's Panna Tiger Reserve

Uttam Kumar Sharam, the field director of Madhya Pradesh's Panna Tiger Reserve (PTR) said that we've found the photo presence of an Indian Desert Cat for the first time in the Reserve. The cat's presence was captured by a tourist in the reserve's Akola buffer zone during the night safari. Reportedly, the feline is famous to survive without water and its toes are said to be cushion-like.
