Google Doodle Honors Heritage Of Kite Flying On India's Independence Day

Google has created a doodle for Indian Independence Day 2022 to commemorate the people's efforts prior to August 15, 1947. The Google Doodle honors the Independence Day tradition of kite flying. India today has a unique position in global politics, and it appears that this position will only increase in the future. The country has emerged stronger in the post-Covid period, which has wreaked devastation since March of 2020.

Why Every President Of India Takes Oath On July 25 Since 1977?

The 15th President of India Draupadi Murmu took the oath on July 25, the date which is being followed by many presidents in the past four-decades. Notably, since 1977, every President of India has taken the presidential oath on July 25, as they ended their full five-years term, usually ended on July 24. India's-sixth-President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was the first to be sworn in on July 25, which became tradition.

Maharashtra: Man Slits Own Neck As Part Of Aghori Practice

A fisherman, identified as Nandu Ghungase, slit his own neck at a temple in Maharashtra on December 11 in order to offer his blood to 'Shivling'. The 25-year-old belonged to kharwad village and was found dead in the Mahadev Temple in Paithan town. Four people witnessed the act and one of them later told police about it. The police suspected that the act was a part of an Aghori practice.

Assam to Extend Support to Mobile Theatres; Plans to Include Them Under MSME

Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal on September 18 reviewed requests from the Mobile Theatre Producers' Association and directed officials to form a committee to address the needs of the industry. In a meeting, the representatives from the industry requested the CM for help against the pandemic-caused distress. The CM also asked the officials to decipher if the industry can be included under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) category.
