Goods Train Derails In Chhattisgarh; 7 Compartments Including Engine Falls Off Track
In Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district, a goods train derailed at the Jamoagon (JMG) Railway Station, on March 28. Reportedly, seven compartments including the engine derailed from the tracks. Fire Breaks Out In Passenger Train, No Casualties Reported: Kolhapur
In Maharashtra's Kolhapur station, a massive fire broke out at 10:00 PM, on December 5. A passenger train stationed at Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus reportedly caught fire. Farmers To Hold ''Rail Roko'' Programme: Lakhimpur Kheri Violence
The Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has announced that Famers will block railways tracks for 6 hours starting from 10 AM in the country on October 18. Reportedly, the ''rail roko'' program was planned to protest against the Union Minster Ajay Mishra's membership in BJP. Kalka-Shimla Train Derails; Passengers Unharmed

Special Train Of IRCTC To Assist Pilgrims At Char Dham Yatra
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to assist pilgrims in the Char Dham Yatra through its special train. The Yatra has been resumed by the Uttarakhand government on September 18. The Deluxe AC tourist train is launched under the 'Dekho Apna Desh' program to ensure tourists have appropriate amenities. Char Dham Yatra is to last for 16 days. The tour begins at the Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi.

Farmers Protest Continues For 2 Days; Punjab Govt To Hold Meeting With Farm Leaders
Farmers continued to block rail tracks and a national highway in Jalandhar owing to the protest against the hike in sugarcane prices by the Punjab government for continuous two days. Meanwhile, on August 21, 89 trains were cancelled and 54 were diverted. The Punjab government will hold a meeting with the farm leaders. All the 32 farm leaders have joined the protest which will be held for an indefinite period.

The Railways will install media servers in coaches that will provide buffer-free multilingual content like news, movies and general entertainment. Differently-Abled Lab Techie Performs Delivery On Moving Train
In a heartwarming incident, a differently-abled lab technician Sunil Prajapati helped a pregnant woman deliver a baby on a moving train on January 16. Reportedly, Sunil used thread from the shawl and an unused shaving blade to help deliver the baby. He was guided by his senior eye surgeon via video call.
