On the occasion of Women's Day, the Telangana Government-led TS Road Transport Corporation (RTC) announced a special ladies' bus. On March 4, the TSRTC introduced the 'Ladies Special' daily bus, for girl students and women passengers from various places to the city outskirts. The bus services will be from Uppal to Bogaram via Ghatkesar, Bogaram to Secunderabad via Ghatkesar, LB Nagar to Ibrahimpatnam and Ibrahimpatnam to LB Nagar.

The central trade unions supported by the All India Bank Employees Association has called a nationwide strike on March 28 and 29. Kerala Transport Minister Antony Raju inaugurated the first green bus service in the state on June 21, at Thiruvananthapuram's major bus terminal. Reportedly, the bus will provide service between Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam-Kozhikode routes. However, the initiative will serve two major goals of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, switching to a cheaper fuel to save up money & less harmful compared to other petroleums.
