Railways To Have Signages For Ease Of Passengers
Signages at railway stations across India will be standardised on the basis of colour, font and the use of pictograms for the ease of passengers, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Monday as he released a booklet containing details of the project. The Indian Railways, which is redeveloping 1,275 stations across India under the 'Amrit Bharat Stations Scheme'. The changes will enhance passenger's experience at railway stations.

Engine Shortage Leads To Cancellation Of Go First Flights
Go First Airlines have informed the DGCA that the flights will remain cancelled on May 3, 4 since more than half of its fleet is grounded. The cancellations are triggered by recurrent issues such as delays in supply of engines by Pratt & Whitney. Kaushik Khona said the airline has grounded 28 planes, more than half of its fleet, due to non-supply of engines by P&W, resulting in crunch.

Shocking, Man Sets Co-passengers On Fire In Alappuzha-Kannor Train
In a shocking incident, a Kerala man set his co-passenger on fire, in an Alahppuza-Kanoor train. The incident resulted in the death of three people and left eight injured. The dead including a one-year-old child and a woman were found dead on the tracks near. The man who escaped after the incident is yet to be identified. Furthermore, the investigation revealed that incident happened due to an argument.

IndiGo Flight Delhi-Doha Diverted To Karachi Amid Medical Emergency
An IndiGo flight diverted to Karachi after a medical emergency was reported onboard. On March 13, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Doha suddenly had to divert after a passenger Abdullah, a 60-year-old Nigerian national fell ill. Despite attempts to save him, the passenger died on board, confirmed the flight service. The flight was halted at Karachi airport for nearly five hours, and returned to Delhi.

Rapido Bike Services Ban From Plying Roads: Mumbai Transport
After Delhi, the Maharashtra Government also banned bike taxi services like Rapido, Ola Moto and Uber Moto to ply on the streets. The transport department has warned bike taxis against plying on the roads of Delhi. The first offence by the aggregators could lead to a fine of Rs 5,000, while the second offence could lead to a fine of Rs 10,000 and imprisonment up to a year, said notice.

PM Modi To Inaugurate Rajasthan Leg Of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the first completed section, Delhi–Dausa–Lalsot of the Delhi Mumbai Expressway to the nation. The expressway will be a major boost to economic development and will reduce travel time between Delhi to Rajasthan to 3.5-hours, from the previous 5-hours. In addition, the expressway will also connect Delhi-Mumbai, cutting travel time to 12-hours. The expressway is built for Rs 12,150 crores.

Indian Railways Announces 179 Special Trains Amid Festival Rush
Amid festivities in India, the Indian Railways left no stone unturned in providing convenience to passengers, by adding additional trains for convenience. On October 5, the Indian Railways announced 2,269 trips of 179 pairs of special trains. The decision will be taken in the view of extra rush amid Navratri, Durga Puja, so that loved ones can reunite and celebrate festivals. The special trains will be run till Chhath Puja.

Indian Railways Serves Special Food Menu For Navratri
The Indian Railways has come up with a special menu for all travellers on the occasion of Navratri, from September 26 to October 5. The Railways Ministry made the announced over a tweet, and the food can be ordered from the ‘Food on Track’ app. The nine-day long festival of Shardiya Navratri has begun on September 26. Mumbai Airport Handles 1,30,374 Passengers In 24 Hours, Highest Since Pandemic
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled 1,30,374 passengers in 24 hours on September 17, making it the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
