1 Died, 5 Stranded While On Uttarakhand-Chitkul Trek, Rescue Operation Underway

The Uttarakhand Disaster Management authority confirmed a trekker's death, and five were stranded, including three porters in the Chitkul region, on September 4.  The six people went for a trek from Khimloga Pass, when they went missing, following which the disaster management ordered a rescue operation. Notably, three porters, two trekkers are stuck and are likely to be rescued by the concerned official soon.

Former Para Officer To Lead The Largest Team With Disabilities On Siachen trek

Former Para officer Major Vivek Jacob will lead a team of eight, consisting of ex-servicemen and civilians, to the highest battlefield, the Siachen Glacier. The trek is scheduled for May and it will be their first attempt, aiming to set a world record. The team will look forward to achieving the feat despite the disability.

300+ Climbers Interested In Scaling Mt Everest Despite COVID Spread

Nepal’s Tourism Department has revealed that over 300 foreigners have shown their wish to climb Mount Everest, despite COVID-19 spread.
