Killing five people including a nine-month-old baby and injuring 15, a speeding car rammed into a pedestrian area in the German city of Trier on December 1. Police have arrested the 51-year-old German driver and seized the vehicle. Reportedly, he was driving under the influence of alcohol, and the incident appeared to be intentional.
