Commemorating the killing of 13 people in firing on Congress Youth Rally, the Trinamool Congress took out a Martyr's Day Rally, on July 21.  A huge number of people from across West Bengal gathered at Esplanade, the city's downtown area, for the mega Martyr's Day rally, amid tight security by the City Police. The annual rally is being held after a gap of two years due to the pandemic.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) appointed members for her newly constituted national working committee. Notably, Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee as the General secretary. TMC President Mamata Banerjee, called for an emergency meeting, on February 12. Notably, the West Bengal's TMC and it's leader Abhishek Banerjee are having a rift over "one man, one post". Abhishek Banerjee, the General Secretary of the TMC, who proposed the concept is said to take a strong step and likely to quit as Organisational member. West Bengal Government, on January 31, announced to ease the COVID-19 restrictions, amid decline in cases.
