The Centre on May 4 gave a green light to telecom service providers (TSPs) to conduct 5G spectrum trials in the country. Rejecting Chinese telecom gear makers, the Telecom Department approved Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, C-DOT and Reliance Jio’s indigenously developed technology to conduct trials.
