Tuatara Beats Koenigsegg Agera to Become World's Fastest Car

SSC's 'Tuatara' became the world's fastest car with a maximum speed of 532.93 km/h. Officials confirmed that it broke the previous record of 447.23 km/h set by Koenigsegg Agera in 2017. Driven by British racer Oliver Webb, the car set an average speed of 508.73km/h in its two runs on an 11-km road. SSC CEO Jerold Shelby said, “We came pretty close to meeting the theoretical numbers, which is astonishing.”
