Asia's Largest Tulip Garden Reopens For Tourists In J&K

Asia's largest Tulip Garden in Kashmir, having Dal Lake view is now open for tourists, from March 23. Jammu & Kashmir Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta announced the garden to be open for the next six months, and expected to see heavy footfall. Inaugurated by Ghulam Nabi Azad in 2008, the 'Tulip Garden' was formerly known as Siraj Bagh and has over 1.5 million flowers, including 68 varieties of tulips.

Srinagar Tulip Garden Having 1.5mn Tulips, 63 Varieties Welcomes Tourists

With 1.5 million tulips of 63 varieties, Srinagar tulip garden on March 25 opened its gates for visitors. The tulips, which are expected to bloom by March end, will reportedly last for about a month. PM Narendra Modi has also asked people to visit the garden. Interestingly, this year number of tulips is 2,00,000 more than the previous year. Opened in 2007, the garden had attracted 2,58,000 tourists in 2019.
