2 Social Workers Help Farmers To Adopt Turmeric Cultivation To Earn Better
Social workers Ramila and Devilal Vyas in a revolutionary step convinced the farmers to grow turmeric and earn a good income in Rajasthan's Dungarpur as they were facing loss due to cotton cultivation. Both having founded an NGO namely Jan Shiksha Evam Vikas Sangathan, launched the ''Mahi Haldi'' initiative, joining over 2,500 farmers. The duo also offers the farmers a buyback policy and helps them to sell their crops.

'The Orange Revolution': A Technique To Benefit Farmers
CV Prakash, a Naval veteran through his remarkable and unique hydroponic farming technique found a way to grow turmeric that will be beneficial to farmers. Prakash devoted his lockdown free time to grow the Salem variety of turmeric at his 'CV Hydro training center' in Bengaluru. He has also trained over 12,000 people in hydroponic farming. "Whatever we harvested was 100% saleable material," claims Prakash.
