BJP Demands Suspension Of Manish Sisodia's Twitter Handle

BJP leaders urged Twitter CEO Elon Musk to suspend the Twitter handle of Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy CM of Delhi. On March 9, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, a BJP leader said, "This person is criminal and in Jail right now. Someone else is using this account on his behalf. Pls block the account." The tweet came as a response to a tweet of Sisodia, attacking the BJP.

Twitter Should Again Block Rahul Gandhi's Handle For Lying: BJP

Following Twitter's decision to unlock Rahul Gandhi's handle, BJP leaders on August 17 demanded that his handle should again be locked for lying about revealing the identity of the Delhi rape victim's family. However, Congress declined the allegation saying, ''We haven't given anything in writing'' to Twitter. The locked Twitter account of the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and some others congress leaders was restored on August 13 by the platform after a week. The handle of several congress leaders was suspended following the revelation of the identity of a rape victim's parents in Delhi. Earlier, Gandhi also criticised Twitter on a YouTube video titled ''Twitter's dangerous game'' and saying it to be ''beholden to the government.''
