Things Normal Now After Technical Issues Fixed, Says Twitter

The technical issues on twitter that affected its users across the world have been rectified, as informed by the Twitter management on January 21. The users were facing issues, while accessing and logging-in, on the microblogging site. After remaining down for users for some hours in the morning, Twitter confirmed that it has fixed the technical issue, while things are back to normal.

PM Modi Crosses 70 Mn Followers On Twitter; Most Followed Active Leader

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the most followed "active" politician in the world on July 29 with over 70 million followers on his social media account on Twitter. "World’s most-followed head of state on Twitter", BJP official account shared the news after "#CongratesModiJiFor70M" started trending. Meanwhile, Pope Francis has the second-highest number of followers on Twitter. PM Modi joined Twitter as Gujarat's CM in 2009.

Twitter-Govt Row: Vinay Prakash Chosen As India's Grievance Officer

Twitter has appointed Vinay Prakash as its Resident Grievance Officer under India's new IT regulations. The nomination comes in the event of massive friction between the government and Twitter that has lasted since March when the regulations came into effect. Twitter requested a time frame of eight weeks from Delhi HC to appoint a grievance officer erstwhile and acknowledged to draft its first compliance report public by July 11.

"Murder Of Free Speech": Congress Over Raids On Twitter Office

The Congress party has pounced upon the BJP as the Delhi Police raided Twitter India's offices on May 24, after the microblogging site recently flagged Sambit Patra's tweet as "manipulated media". Calling the raids "cowardly" act, the Opposition alleged that the actions were the "murder" of free speech. Besides, the Congress also accused the BJP of attempting to hide the "fraudulent" toolkit's truth.
