Two-Child Policy Will Curb Poverty In Muslim Community: Assam CM

In the wake of the new population policy, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the two-child policy is the only way to curb poverty and illiteracy in the Muslim community. "Muslim population is growing at a rate of 29% (decadal), whereas the Hindus are growing at 10%," claims Sarma. However, the Muslim community did not object to CM's idea as it is for the welfare of the people.
