Ola, Uber Fare To Rise Amid Fuel Price Hike In Metro Cities
In cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, the fares of Ola, Uber, and private taxis will be increased. The decision was in view of the rising fuel prices which have crossed the Rs 100 mark in the aforementioned cities. Head of Operations, Uber, Nitish Bhushan said, in Kolkata, Delhi-NCR fares are up by 12%, and in Mumbai, Hyderabad they increased 15%. Besides, Ola also announced hike in prices.

Uber Rides To Have Increased Fare By 15% In Mumbai
In Maharashtra's Mumbai, Uber cab services increased their fare by 15%, amid the rising prices of fuels, petrol, and diesel. The new hiked rates will be in effect from April 1. The company released a statement, "To help drivers from the impact of the spike in fuel prices, Uber is raising trip fares in Mumbai by 15 percent." In addition, now drivers will not turn off AC for customers.

Ola, Uber Apply For Aggregator License Under New Policy: RTO Official
Ola, Uber and six other companies applied for aggregator license to the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The application came at a time when the Bombay HC directed all the aggregators to apply for a valid license, as majority of them are continuing operation without licenses. However, the applications of all the companies have been rejected due to logistic reasons, under new Aggregators Policy.

Second Year MTech Student Gets Job Offer Of Rs 2.05 Crore From Uber
Rohit Negi, a farmer's son with monthly expenses less than Rs 10,000 received a job offer from Uber. Negi is pursuing MTech at IIT Guwahati and is in the second year now and has been hired as a software engineer with CTC Rs 2.05 crore. The 22-year-old's basic salary is Rs 96 lakh. He said it is an "out of the world feeling for his family", reported DailyO.

Uber Eats Driver Throws Food In Bushes As Woman Gives Wrong Address
Jeanette Eriksson-Gray (39) had ordered Happy Meals from McDonald's via Uber Eats. Reportedly, she entered the wrong address while ordering, and requested the driver to deliver to the changed address. Unfortunately, the driver denied her request and threw the food in the bushes. However, she got a refund for the order, but she does not plan to order from the app further as the incident made her "really upset".
