UFC Champ Khabib Nurmagomedov Eyes To Launch MMA In 2028 Olympics
UFC Lightweight Champion 'The Eagle' Khabib Nurmagomedov has revealed his plans to push MMA into the Olympics at a press conference in Uzbekistan. Targeting the 2028 Olympics, Khabib said, "The inclusion of MMA in the Olympics is one of my main tasks for the next couple of years, we are already working in this direction." However, Khabib has also shown concern about the sport's brutality, which might keep MMA out.

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov Retires
Russian mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov announced an emotional exit from his professional career on October 24 after defeating Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi. The UFC lightweight champion took down Gaetje with a second-round triangle choke submission. Nurmagomedov had lost his father and head coach, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, in July due to COVID-19, after which he had promised a retirement to his mother.

Former UFC fighter George "Rush" St-Pierre, in an interview, stated that if he could return for a fight, it would be against Khabib "The Eagle" Numagomedov.
