Ukriane-Russia War: Ukraine Military Says This Could Be Russia's Next Move
Ukraine's military said that Russia could launch a big mobilisation campaign soon to try to recruit hundreds of thousands of soldiers from inside Russia and occupied Ukraine. Without any evidence, the Ukrainian general staff said, “A mass forced mobilisation of the population is expected soon in the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine due to the occupiers' catastrophic losses.”

India Abstained From Voting In UN General Assembly Regarding Ukraine Peace Resolution
India abstained from voting on a resolution put forward by Ukraine and its supporters in the United Nations General Assembly. On February 24, the resolution, titled ‘Principles of the Charter of the UN for lasting peace in Ukraine,' was adopted by a vote of 141 in favor and 7 against, with 32 abstentions. Meanwhile, speaking of India's stand, EAM S Jaishankar said, India just want peace for the world.

Russia Warns World War III If Ukraine Joins US NATO
Issuing a stern warning to the US and other NATO military alliances, Russia said that the admission of Ukraine to NATO could result in a 'third world war'. On October 12, Security Council of the Russian Federation, Alexander Venediktov said, "If Ukraine is admitted into the US-led NATO military alliance, then the conflict in Ukraine would be guaranteed to escalate into World War Three."

Indian Govt Asks To Avoid Non-Essential Travel To Ukraine
Concerned over the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine, India advised its citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to and within Ukraine. On October 10, the Government of India asked them to strictly follow the safety and security guidelines issued by the local authorities. The advisory comes hours after Russia carried out strikes against multiple Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, which killed 10 people and left 60 others injured.

Russia’s Putin, Ukraine’s Zelenskyy To Attend G20 Summit In Bali
Russian president Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy have agreed to attend the G20 Summit in Indonesia’s Bali. This will become the first time both the leaders share a common platform, since the beginning of the war. The summit is scheduled to be held on November 15 and 16. Indonesia’s ambassador to UAE Husin Bagis said, “we are deciding which hotels to put them up in”.

Elon Musk Throws Another Jab Against Ukraine-Russia Conflict: Twitter War
Elon Musk who received criticism for his series of tweets on Russian invasion of Ukraine, has made another tweet stating, “War is the ultimate Supreme Court”. This too, has been criticised widely, and some have asked him to delete the tweet entirely. Musk’s tweet is being interpreted as a show of support to Russia. However, Musk has dismissed such claims and expressed his neutrality in the war.

Russia ‘Kidnaps’ Head Of Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant In Zaporizhzhia
Russia has been accused of “kidnapping” the head of nuclear power plant in Ukraine’s Russia occupied Zaporizhzhia. The victim identified as Ihor Murashov was reportedly detained while on his way to the town of Enerhodar. Murashov was taken at around 4 pm on September 30. “He was taken out of the car, and with his eyes blindfolded he was driven in an unknown direction, said a state agency.

World Bank Announces $530 Million Additional Aid To Ukraine Amid Russian Invasion
The World Bank has announced to provide an additional aid of $530 million to Ukraine amid the ongoing war against Russia. The World Bank also stated that United Kingdom’s contribution to the addition aid is $500 million, and Kingdom of Denmark’s contribution is $30 million. With this, the total aid provided by World Bank to Ukraine is $13 billion. Of which, $11 billion has been fully disbursed.

Afghanistan To Buy Oil, Gas & Wheat From Russia At ‘Special Discount’, Signs Deal
The Taliban-led Afghanistan government has signed a trade deal with Russia to buy oil, gas and wheat at a discounted price. Afghanistan’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry spokesperson Abdul Salam Jawad Akhundzada said that the imports will commence “within days of weeks”. Happy with the deal, Akhundzada said that Afghanistan wishes to continue making such deals with Russia in the future.
