The constant job layoffs have been a concern, especially in the IT sector. In the last week, many people were laid off, in companies like Tata Consultancy(6333,) Infosys(7250,) and HCL(2299). As per reports in the next six months, many more jobs will be cut off & new graduates will face employment difficulties. Considering the situation of huge companies, start-ups are going to work hard to thrive, with no media attention.

Survey Confirms Unemployment Rate At Six-Year Low Of 3.2%
India's unemployment rate for persons aged 15 years and above was recorded at a six-year low of 3.2% during July 2022-June 2023, confirmed government reports. The Periodic Labour Force Survey Annual Report 2022-2023 released by the National Sample Survey Office said the unemployment rate in India improved with the lowest, as percentage of unemployed persons in the labour force, which has improved in the past few years, under the BJP.

Delhi Man Depressed Due To Unemployment, Writes 77-Page Note, Kills Mother & Dies By Suicide
Kshitij, a 25-year-old Delhi man, allegedly murdered his mother and used a deodorant spray to suppress the smell of her decomposing body. Reportedly, he had strangled her and cut her throat. Three days after the incident, Kshitij took his own life. A 77-page suicide note has been recovered, which revealed that Kshitij was going through depression due to unemployment. Also, he wanted to “set his mother free”, read the note.

Farmers Call For Protest At Jantar Mantar, Police Beef Up Security
The Delhi police have tightened security at Jantar Mantar, Ghaziabad and Singhu border, amid farmers' protest. Notably, on August 22, farmers are scheduled to hold protests against unemployment, due to which, the Uttar Pradesh and Delhi Police have been on alert. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha has called for a 75-hour sit-in protest in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh against the Central government over pending demands, including unemployment.

Unemployment Rate Increased By 7.80% In June, With 13 Million Job Loss
India's unemployment rate shot up at 7.80% in June, as the nation recorded 13 million jobs, mainly in the agriculture sector. On July 5, the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) of think-tank centre released the data. Notably, the massive fall in the number of jobs last month was triggered by a higher unemployment rate in rural areas, which is 8.03%, whereas, in urban areas, the rate is at 7.30%.

1000s Of Bihar Students Occupy Patna College Ghat To Prepare For Govt Job Exams
On the bank of Patna College Ghat, thousands of students were seen preparing for various exams including Railways and SSC, on April 16. SK Jha, an engineer, reportedly helps these students to prepare for their exams. Jha organises free tests for these students, and with the help of 30-35 workers, the papers get evaluated and returned. Reportedly, around 12,000-14,000 students turn up for these tests.

Priyanka Gandhi Slams CM Yogi, BJP & SP: UP Assembly Elections
General Secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on February 23, slammed the BJP and SP, for diverting people attention.
