Single-Use Plastics Will Be Banned From July Next Year: Environment Ministry
The Indian government through its notification to the Plastic Waste Management Amendment rules, 2021 has ordered the ban on single-use plastic from July 2022. "The manufacture, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of single-use plastic, including polystyrene and expanded polystyrene commodities shall be prohibited from 1st July 2022," the Environment Ministry said. Delhi's First Transit Oriented Hub Gets Approval
Phase one of the Integrated Development of East Delhi Hub project gets recommended environmental approval by Environment Ministry's Expert Appraisal Committee. The project requires the cutting of 123 trees and transplantation of 20 more. The site of Delhi's First Transit-Oriented Hub will be planted with 3,200 trees. The project will be developed around the Blue and Pink metro lines of the Delhi Metro.

Union Ministry Halts TN Govt Plan To Build Groynes In Bird Sanctuary
The Union Environment Ministry has postponed the Tamil Nadu government’s plan to build groynes – a wall like structure - in the eco-sensitive zone of the Pulicat Bird Sanctuary. Delhi Govt Imposes Fine On FICCI For Flouting Pollution Control Norms
