PM Modi Says Today's Vishwakarma Can Turn Entrepreneurs

PM Narendra Modi appreciates artisans and craft workers, who work with hands using tools. At an event, PM Modi called these artisans 'Vishwakarma' and said, "Today's Vishwakarma could be tomorrow's entrepreneurs". The statement was made during a post-budget webinar, attended by PM Narendra Modi. During the same, Modi highlighted the recently launched new scheme for artisans and craftsmen, the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS.)

In a major boost to the Atmarnirbhar India, the Indian Navy successfully undertook MRSAM (Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) firing from INS Visakhapatnam. On March 7, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the Indian Navy, for the successful tests and validating capability to engage Anti Ship Missiles. CJI UU Lalit Names DY Chandrachud As His Successor

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Uday Umesh Lalit named Justice DY Chandrachud to be his successor. With this, the tenure of CJI UU Lalit will end on November 8, following which the new CJI will take over charges. If approved by the Union Government, DY Chandrachud will be the 50th CJI and will take the official oath on November 9. Justice Chandrachud will have a tenure of over two years.

Govt Imposes Ban On Broken Rice Export With Immediate Affect

The Union Government banned the export of rice with immediate effect, on September 9. The decision will have a significant impact as compared to last year, in 2022 the sown area of paddy is lower. Moreover, the imposed ban would not affect shipments, which left for India, and will be allowed till September 15. In addition, the Central Government also imposed a 20% on brown rice and husked rice.

Govt Plans To Remove Toll Plazas At National Highways

The Central Government is planning to remove all the toll plazas from the National Highways. The Steps are being taken in order to reduce traffic congestion on the highways. In addition, the Central Government will install high-quality cameras on entry-exit points of plazas, to read number plates, reducing human intervention. The camera will read number plates, helping reduction of taxes, directly from the owner's bank accounts.

No Plans To Import Wheat From Different Countries, Clarifies Govt

Dismissing the reports of food grains import, the Union Government and Department of Food & Public Distribution said, India has no plans of importing wheat. On August 21, the government said, "The country has sufficient stocks to meet our domestic requirements and FCI has enough stock for public distribution".
