Amit Shah To Visit Violence Hit Manipur, Assures Justice
Reacting to the recent Manipur violence, resulting in the death of one person, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, appealed for peace. In a media briefing, Shah said, "I will go to Manipur soon and stay there for three days but before that, both groups should remove mistrust and suspicion among themselves and ensure that peace is restored in the state." Furthermore, he assured justice and asked people to keep faith.

Union Govt Approves Appointment Of 2 HC Judges As Chief Justices Of HC
Justice PB Varale of the Bombay High Court was elevated as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court while Justice AM Magrey, a judge of the Jammu and Kashmir HC, was appointed its chief justice. In addition, incumbent Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir HC Justice Pankaj Mithal was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court in the same capacity. The announcement was made by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Union Govt Approves Rs 26,000 Crore For 25,000 Mobile Towers Installation

PM Modi To Launch 5g Services In October, Says Union Govt
PM Narendra Modi is likely to launch 5g services in India in October 2023. As per the Government's National Broadband Mission Twitter, "Taking India's digital transformation & connectivity to new heights, Hon'ble PM, @narendramodi, will roll out 5G services in India; at India Mobile Congress; Asia's largest technology exhibition." Union Aviation Removes Airfares Cap Limits, In Effect From August 31
The Civil Aviation Ministry removed the limits imposed on domestic airfares after a span of approximately 27 months. On August 10, the Ministry tweeted, "The decision to remove air fare caps has been taken after careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel (ATF)." Furthermore, the newly removed airfare caps in upper and lower limits, imposed when the flight services resumed, will in effect from August 31.

CJI NV Raman Recommends Justice Uday Umesh Lalit As Next CJI
Chief Justice of India NV Ramana recommended the name of his successor to the concerned authority. In a letter dated August 4, addressed to the Union Government CJI Ramana named senior most Supreme Court Justice Uday Umesh Lalit.
