The Civil Aviation Ministry removed the limits imposed on domestic airfares after a span of approximately 27 months. On August 10, the Ministry tweeted, "The decision to remove air fare caps has been taken after careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel (ATF)." Furthermore, the newly removed airfare caps in upper and lower limits, imposed when the flight services resumed, will in effect from August 31.
Chief Justice of India NV Ramana recommended the name of his successor to the concerned authority. In a letter dated August 4, addressed to the Union Government CJI Ramana named senior most Supreme Court Justice Uday Umesh Lalit. The development came after Union Justice & Law Minister Kiren Rijiju asked CJI Ramana to name his successor. Notably, CJI Ramana is retiring from his position on August 26.

The FM Nirmala Sitharaman said the RBI has expressed concerns over cryptocurrencies. On July 18, Nirmala Sitharaman said, they should be prohibited as they can have a destabilising effect on monetary and fiscal stability. The Consortium of National Law University confirmed no delay of changes in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022, amid Agnipath-protest. On June 18, the university, released a statement, "Consortium of National Law Universities will conduct the Common Law Admission Test 2022 for BA LLB and LLM admissions on June 19th 2022, Sunday between 2-4 PM." Accused in Delhi 2020 riots, Umar Khalid's bail has been dismissed by Delhi Court. As per ANI, the court bench on March 24, rejected the bail plea, based on the arguments and evidences produced by SPP Amit Prasad, against JNU Student Khalid. Furthermore, Khalid allegedly disobeyed the court's guidelines of bail and failed to file a counter reply. Notably, Khalid was arrested under UAPA in September, 2020.
