Corbevax Vaccine Approved As Booster Dose For Adults: Union Health Ministry

After Covaxin and Covishield, the Union Health Ministry also approved Corbevax as a booster dose against Covid-19.  Biological E's Corbevax is allowed for double-vaccinated people above 18-years-old. India Reports 20,044 New COVID Cases, 56 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

India recorded 20,044 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, breaking the 20,000 thresholds for the third day in a row on July 16. In the previous 24 hours, 18,301 COVID patients have recovered. Since the start of the pandemic, 4,30,63,651 people have recovered at a rate of 98.48%. 56 patients died, totaling 5,25,660. The daily positivity rate in India was 4.80%, while the weekly positivity rate was 4.40%.

Union Ministry Writes To States, UTs Amid Covid-19 Rise

Amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to all States and Union Territories, on June 9.
