NITK Students Design E-Bike For Forest Department: Karnataka
National Institute of Technology Karnataka students designed an e-bike for the forest department. This mobility drive can be solar-powered and charge walkie-talkies, mobiles, or GPS systems. The headlight can be dismantled into a portable torch. ''This e-bike was designed keeping in mind the need of the forest department and officials,'' reported ANI. ''We'd like to thank NITK for giving us this opportunity,'' said Rakshith, a student.

After Boards, University Students Urge UGC To Cancel Semester Exams
University students across the country have urged the UGC to cancel the university exams due to COVID-19 concerns. After the class 10 and 12 board exams cancellation, university students also stated appeal citing the safety and health concerns. Mizoram University Students Trek 2 Km Uphill To Give Online Exams
Around 23 students in Mizoram trek uphill for nearly two kilometers through forest for internet access to give their even semester undergraduate exams. The lack of internet access due to the terrain in their hometown led them to write exams from makeshift huts made of bamboo, tarpaulin and banana leaves. Complaining of fleeting mobile network and 2G internet, two similar huts were raised in Lunglei and Siaha districts.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Mandates Anti-Drug Undertaking
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru has decided to make it compulsory for students and parents to submit anti-drug undertaking, starting this year. The officials opined that higher education institutes were the target of drug peddlers and colleges have to take measures like setting up anti-drug committee to prevent students from falling prey. Previously, only anti-ragging undertaking was mandatory.

Violence Erupts at Visva Bharati University, Crowd Vandalizes Boundary Wall: WB
Violence erupted at Visva Bharati University in Birbhum on August 17. A large number of people ransacked the university against the construction of a boundary wall on Poush Mela grounds.
