Maharashtra Universities To Stop Convocation Ceremonies
The Higher and Technical Education Department, Maharashtra has decided to cancel the graduation ceremonies from various universities in the state from the next academic year starting in June 2023. Use Of ChatGPT For Drafting Tragic Incident E-Mail Creates Controversy
A university in Tennessee, US, used chatgpt to write an e-mail for an unfortunate Michigan shoot incident, Developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022, the Chatbot is trending, especially for writing purposes. However, the recent use of ChatGPT for drafting an e-mail and issuing without editing the mention of correspondence created outrage amongst students who expressed anger and wanted an apology from the University.

Jamia Student Shot At Hospital Premises Amid Student Groups Fight: Delhi
At Jamia Millia Islamia University, a law student Noman Choudhary (26) was shot amid a brawl between two student groups, on September 29. The police were informed, who rushed to the spot and shifted Noman to Holy Family Hospital. However, a member of another student group Zalal, tried to attack Noman again and shot him in the hospital premises, causing brain injury to Noman, following which a case was registered.

UK Govt Releases New Scheme For World's Top 50 Non-UK Universities; Indian Universities Not Included
Under the new High Potential Individual (HPI) visa, graduates from the world's top 50 non-UK universities will be able to work in the UK. The list included two universities from China and two from Hong Kong. Unfortunately, no Indian universities were included on the list. The UK government has been reprimanded since none of the IITs reached the Top 50 list.

LPU Sacks Professor Over Use Of Derogatory Language Against Lord Ram
Lovely Professional University has sacked a faculty member over alleged use of derogatory language against Lord Ram. The varsity released a statement which read, "We wish to clarify that the views shared by her are absolutely personal." The statement also added that the incident was regretted. LPU Vice-President has shared that the assistant professor was fired on 23rd April with immediate effect.
