PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district, on July 16. The Expressway will be inaugurated at Kaitheri village in Orai Tehsil. Reportedly, the work which commenced on February 29, 2020 has been completed within 28 months. The 296 km four-lane Expressway has been constructed at a cost Rs 14,850 crore.

Amit Pandit, a gangster from Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by Delhi police, in Bhajanpura Firing incident. In the incident, one person namely Vishal sustained bullet injuries and a passerby Gaurav Sharma, was also injured. Following the interrogation, a raid was conducted at Omaxe Eternity Society, and Amit Pandit was arrested. Pandit has reportedly admitted to his crime, and stated that he accompanied Vishal and fired at the shooters.

Shivam (18) and Sachin (16) who went to Ganga river in Kamalganj area to bathe, drowned on May 16. The duo were taking selfies in the mid-stream, after which they drowned. Two others who were bathing along with them were rescued by the locals and rushed to the Kamalganj Community Heath Centre for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been returned to the families after they refused for post-mortem.

Former Ghaziabad's District Magistrate Nidhi Kesarwani has been suspended by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, on May 4. The suspension has come after Kesarwani was alleged in a land acquisition case for Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway. CM Adityanath then stated that "a section officer and a review officer of the appointment department will also suspended for delay in the taking up the matter". 

At the New Jeevan hospital in UP's Unnao district, the body of a nurse was found hanging, on May 1. The family of the victim has alleged that she was gang-raped, and an FIR has been filed against three persons. Also, the family of the victim said, the nurse joined the hospital just a day before the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem and further details are awaited.
