In UP's Pilibhit, two brother were electrocuted while irrigating their fields, on April 24. The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Prasad (54) and Rameshwar Dayal (46), both residents of Lalaur Gujranpur village. Rashmi Yadav (33), a woman sub-inspector was found hanging from the ceiling in her quarter, on April 22. Yadav, who was posted at the Mohanganj police station, went back to her quarters in the afternoon. When a constable was sent to her quarter, the doors and windows were locked. After Superintendent of Police approved to break the locks, the officials went inside Yadav's quarter and found her body hanging. 

Samajwadi Party chief and UP's former CM Akhilesh Yadav said that the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government, in the state of UP, has failed on all fronts. He further stated that the people are "afraid" of the government in the state. "The attitude of the BJP towards the problems of the youth, is insensitive," said Yadav. He also said that Law and order, education and health and in a bad shape.

The police and Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team has held three in connection with a bank robbery worth Rs 18 lakh. ''Incident took place near Chingrawathi when the police were checking. Three youth on a bike were spotted moving towards the checking spot, on being stopped the accused tried to escape from the spot,'' stated the police. Notably, the police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.

While addressing a rally in Tamil Nadu, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the people of J&K don't rule themselves, they are ruled by the UP and Gujarat bureaucrats. Talking about Congress's vision, Gandhi said, "Our vision is unity in diversity while there is unity through conformity."
