France To Likely Authorize UPI Payments & Rupay Cards
India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Rupay cards will soon be approved in France, according to an Indian official in France. According to Indian Ambassador Jawed Ashraf, since India is at the forefront of digital technology, it has seized the issue of global semiconductor scarcity. India was also named "country of the year" at Vivatech 2020, Europe's largest start-up conference.

Google Pay To Soon Launch FD Services For Its Users
Equitas Small Finance Bank has partnered with Google Pay to offer Fixed Deposits (FD). As per the bank, opening an FD will be as effortless as making UPI payments. The users can schedule an FD via Google Pay under the 'Business and bills' section. Reportedly, the bank will provide up to 6.35% yearly interest rates on an FD. After maturity, the money will be sent to google's affiliated account.
