France To Likely Authorize UPI Payments & Rupay Cards

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Rupay cards will soon be approved in France, according to an Indian official in France. According to Indian Ambassador Jawed Ashraf, since India is at the forefront of digital technology, it has seized the issue of global semiconductor scarcity. Cardless ATM Cash Withdrawal Extended To All Banks Using UPI

The RBI has mandated using of UPI for cardless withdrawal of money across all ATMs, on April 8. The decision was taken to boost customer convenience and lessen cases of fraud. ''It is proposed to enable customer authorisation through the use of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) while settlement of such transactions would happen through the ATM networks,” stated RBI Governor.  The RBI will soon issue guidelines for the same.

Govt Adds GST In UPI QR Code To Give Fiscal Incentive For E-Payments

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is working on introducing a GST section in the UPI QR code. Reportedly, the move will provide easy access for the government to calculate the fiscal incentives for digital payments. While speaking at an event, the NPCI CEO Dilip Asbe said the NPCI is working with banks and payment companies to handle a billion UPI transactions daily. Asbe added, “UPI has grown 250% in nine months.”
