US Army Commander Meets Indian Army Chief Manoj Pande, Discusses Bilateral Defence Cooperation

US Army's Pacific Commanding General Charles A Flynn held talks with Indian Army Chief Manoj Pande, on June 7. Flynn, who is on a visit to India, met with Pande to discuss bilateral defence cooperation. Flynn also met Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General BS Raju, and discussed various aspects of mutual interests. As per sources, the meet in Delhi encouraged military cooperation between the two nations.

US Defuses B-52 Bombers To Stop Taliban From Capturing Afghan Cities

The US government has commanded B-52 bombers and Spectre gunships to take down Taliban terrorists moving towards three important cities of Afghanistan. Afghanistan: Taliban Beheaded Interpreter Who Worked For US Army

The Taliban has beheaded Sohail Pardis, an Afghan interpreter who worked for the US Army. Reportedly, he was on his way home from Afghanistan’s Kabul to Khost on May 12 for Eid, where his vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint by the Taliban. Later, they dragged and left him beheaded. Iraq: Rocket Strike Targetting US Troops Kills Five Civilians

Five Iraqi civilians lost their lives to a rocket attack on September 28 that targetted the US troops at Baghdad Airport. The attack came following the US's threat of closing its embassy and withdrawing its troops. However, no rebel group has claimed the responsibility yet. Iraqi army criticised the attack, saying the groups wanted to "create chaos and terrorise people". The US has asked Iraq to take "decisive action".
