Solar, Coal Power Prices In China To Be Equalled By 2023: Report

According to recent US-China research published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on October 19, prices of solar and coal power in China might become equal by 2023. China, the world's largest carbon emitter, may be approaching a turning point in its shift to renewable energy. China will have the capability to build solar electricity across the country at the same cost as coal in two years.

China Joins Heated Race To Test Out New Missiles After US & Russia

Days after the Unites States and Russia conducted its nuclear weapon's test, China seems to be in the heated race to test its own power of nuclear warheads. It was seen that a rocket carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle was launched, which flew through space, circling around the globe. It later cruised down towards its target, and missed by about two dozen miles.

US Surpasses China To Become World's Biggest 'Bitcoin Miner'

The United States Of America has become the world's center for Bitcoin mining. The country accounted for 35.4 percent of the global hash rate, which is a measure used to extract the digital currency. According to reports, China's observed share of Bitcoin mining has hit zero, which is down from as high as a 75% in September 2019.

Megha Rajagopalan Wins Pulitzer Prize For International Reporting

Megha Rajagopalan, a journalist of Indian origin along with two of her contributors won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting, on June 11. She won the award for her investigative reports that exposed the prisons and internment camps built by China to detain thousands of Muslims in the Xinjiang region. ''I'm in complete shock, I did not expect this," said Ms Rajagopalan.

China, US Agree On Stronger, Urgent Climate Agreement

The US and China have agreed to cooperate on the grounds of urgent climate crisis. World's two biggest carbon polluters released a statement saying that they “are committed to cooperating with each other and with other countries to tackle the climate crisis”. India Has World's Fourth Strongest Military, China At Top: Study

A recent study released by Military Direct has revealed that India stands fourth in terms of military strength with 61 out of 100 points. While China, scoring 82 points, topped the list, the United States and Russia stood second and third with 74 and 69 points respectively. Notably, the US emerged as the highest spender on the military with a budget of $732 billion a year followed by China and India.
