Former Venezuelan Intelligence Officer Arrested Under Drug-Racket: Spain
Former Venezuelan intelligence officer Hugo Armando Carvajal Barrios aka 'El Pollo' was taken into police custody on September 9 for allegedly running a drug racket in Madrid. According to US Justice Department, the 61-year-old was also accused of involvement in narco-terrorism conspiracy and illegally carrying cocaine shipment from Venezuela to Mexico in April 2006. Barrios faced similar charges in SDNY 2019 and 2011.

FIFA To Be Paid $201 Million Compensation For Corruption Losses
The US Department of Justice stated on August 24, FIFA will receive $201 million compensation for corruption losses.
