New York reported five new cases of Covid-19's Omicron mutant, taking the tally to eight in the United States (US). With new cases on December 2, NY became the 4th state to have the new variant, confirmed NY Governor Kathy Hochul. Besides, California, Colorado and Minnesota reported one Omicron case each. Reportedly, the Joe Biden Government announced strict travel rules and mask protocols to fight Omicron threat.
