China Blocks Proposal Of US-India To List LeT Makki As Global Terrorist

In a move against US-India, China has blocked the move to list Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist at the UN Security Council. US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's Pak Visit Doesn't Represent US: Official

After India slammed controversial US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar for making a visit to the Pakistan-occupied region of Kashmir, a US official has clarified that her Pakistan visit does not represent the US. Derek Chollet, the Counselor to the US Secretary of State, has described it as just a personal, unofficial visit. The Democratic Party congresswoman has been on a four-day visit to Pakistan.

US State Secy Flags "Human Rights Abuses" In India

During a joint press briefing held with the Indian Defence Minister and the Foreign Minister, US State Secretary Antony Blinken expressed grave concern over what he sees as "human rights abuses" in India. He did not elaborate much, but he did single out government, prison and police officials as the perpetrators. Rajnath Singh, who was also present, did not comment on the unusual remarks made by the senior US diplomat.
