US Secretary of State Antony Blinken postponed a visit to China, confirmed sources on February 5. The cancellation was in the view of a suspected spy balloon tracked flying across the United States in what Washington called a "clear violation" of US sovereignty. We are seeing reports of a balloon transiting Latin America. We now assess it is another Chinese surveillance balloon," Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder.

US State Secy Flags "Human Rights Abuses" In India
During a joint press briefing held with the Indian Defence Minister and the Foreign Minister, US State Secretary Antony Blinken expressed grave concern over what he sees as "human rights abuses" in India. He did not elaborate much, but he did single out government, prison and police officials as the perpetrators. PM Modi To Participate In Quad Leader's Virtual Meet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a Quad Leader's virtual meeting on March 3, along with US President Joe Biden, Japan and Australia prime ministers. "They will exchange views and assessments about important developments in the Indo-Pacific," the MEA said. It will also strengthen bilateral relations between the different countries.
