Yogi Adityanath Receives Death Threat, Police Launches Investigation

The Lucknow Police registered a case against an unidentified person, in Uttar Pradesh.  Getting into details, the case was registered after the CM Of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath received a death threat. The threat was received via message on 'Dial 112' (a number launched by the Uttar Pradesh government for the emergency services), in which the person stated, "I will kill CM Yogi soon". The police is investigating the matter.

Vijay Alias Usman Accused In Umesh Pal Murder Case Killed

In an encounter between the Police and accused Vijay alias Usman in Kaundhiyara police station area, the accused in the Umesh Pal, (a witness in the death of BSP Leader) murder case allegedly died.  The encounter broke out in Prayagraj, on March 6, under the Prayagraj Police jurisdiction. As per sources, Arbaaz, an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, was also killed in an encounter with the police earlier.

Govt Set To Launch India's First Cattle Sanctuary For Stray Cattles

The Union Government is scheduled to launch a pilot project of India's first cattle sanctuary for stray cattle problems. For this, the Yogi Adityanath-led UP Government allotted 52-hector land in Purkazi town of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. "he union government has sanctioned ₹63 crore for the project, which will be set up by the national dairy development board," said a source. The GoI will soon float tenders for the pilot project.

UP Government Forms 2 Member High-Level Committee To Investigate Vrindavan Temple Stampede

The investigation into the August 20 stampede at the historic Bankey Bihari temple in Mathura was launched on August 25 by a two-member high-level committee appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government. On August 20, a stampede at the Bankey Bihari temple in Vrindavan killed two pilgrims and wounded seven more. The investigation committee is scheduled to present its results to the administration within 15 days.

Almost 11,000 Loudspeakers Uninstalled From Religious Places: UP

Uttar Pradesh Government removed nearly 11,000 loudspeakers from the state and the volume of 35,221 loudspeakers was lowered. The Home Department removed almost 2935 loudspeakers and lowered the volume of 7397 loudspeakers from religious places in the eight zones of the state. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the loudspeakers of religious places should stop playing loud sounds and the microphones should not be installed… read-more

Yogi Adityanath Led UP Govt's SC List Proposal Returned For Review

Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh Government proposed to include Koli & Hindu Julaha communities in the Scheduled Caste (SC) list.  After reviewing the proposal, the Central Government returned it and asked the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh Government to reconsider the same. A Narayan Swamy, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Law said, the proposal was not supported by the Registrar General of India (RGI) and needed to be justified.

UP Govt Lifts COVID-19 Restrictions Amid Declining Cases

In Uttar Pradesh, as the COVID-19 cases are declining, the state government, on March 17, announced to lift all the curbs, imposed across the state. CM Yogi Adityanath took the decision in the view of the declining Coronavirus case, with under 31,000. Acting upon the decision, UP Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi issued orders, which came a month after UP lifted night curfew and reopened educational institutions, on February 19.

PM Modi To Launch Kanpur Metro Rail Project Worth Rs 11,000 Crores

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate several projects in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.  On December 28, he will visit Kanpur to launch the complete section of Kanpur Metro Rail Project, which would be 32 km long, worth Rs 11,000 crores. The metro section will connect IIT Kanpur-Moti Jheel. Besides, PM Modi will also attend 56th IIT Kanpur Convocation ceremony and launch other development projects in Kanpur.
