Woman Kills Husband Over Quarrel, Buries Body : Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur, a woman allegedly killed her husband and buried her body in their house, confirmed police. The incident happened on August 7, after a heated quarrel when the accused killed Govind at Khamaria village. The matter came to light after locals started getting the foul smells and reported it to the police. However, the woman told the police that her husband died by suicide.

Girlfriend Kills Live-In Partner Amid Refusal Of Marriage: Ghaziabad
In Ghaziabad, woman named Preeti Sharma, a divorcee, slits the throat of his live-in partner in rage, arrested by police on August 8. Preeti was staying with Firoz alias Chwanni (23) and was pressuring him for marriage. However, Firoz refused to marry her, which led to a heated argument and brutal murder. After committing the crime, Preeti stuffed Firoz's body into a trolley-bag, when she was caught by the police patrolling.

IIT Kanpur Student Drowned In Ganga, Confirms UP Police
In Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, an IIT student identified as Chanchal Kumar Meena drowned to death in River Ganga, confirmed police on June 19. As per PTI, ACP Kernalganj Tirpurari Pandey said, "Two students of IIT Kanpur had drowned while taking bath in river Ganga. One of them was saved, while the other one drowned." Notably, a group of 10 IIT-Kanpur students went to the Atal Ghat at the Ganga Barrage.

Uttar Pradesh: 112 To Include Small Cars For Faster Response
Uttar Pradesh's 112 emergency service will soon include small cars to provide faster responses to emergency calls. While the smaller cars will help teams to reach congested areas, they will also decrease the time consumed due to traffic. Reportedly, the UP police have a response time of seven to eight minutes in urban areas and 15-20 minutes in rural areas. Currently, the department has over 3,000 SUVs deployed for emergency services.
