Glacier Bursts In Uttarakhand's Niti Valley; No Loss Of Life
A glacier burst has been reported in the Sumna area of Niti Valley near the India–China border in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on April 23. Chamoli district disaster management officer N K Joshi said, “There is no information about any loss of life so far. There is no village habitation in Sumna area." Meanwhile, CM Tirath Singh Rawat stated Union Minister Amit Shah has assured help from the Centre and ITBP.

Uttarakhand Glacier Burst Not Linked To Char Dham Road Project : Centre To SC
Centre's Defence ministry has sought time from the Supreme Court to prove that recent glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli is not linked to road-widening project in Char Dham.
