Uttarakhand Govt To Form Committee For Investigation Of Gold Plating At Kedarnath Temple
The Uttarakhand Government has decided to set up a high-level committee, under the chairmanship of the Garhwal commissioner, to probe allegations of a Rs 1.25 billion scam in gold plating the sanctum sanctorum of the Kedarnath temple. The state's Tourism, Religion and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said this on June 23. The Minister asked to have a technical expert as well as goldsmiths in the inquiry committee for investigation.

Uttarakhand To Soon Have Its Own Film City, Govt Directs Officials To Prepare Plan
Recently, the Uttarakhand Government announced to construct a film city of its own. On July 12, the Uttarakhand Government asked the concerned officials to hunt a suitable piece of land in the hill state. The Special Principal Secretary Abhinav Kumar held a meeting with the information department officials and asked them to prepare an action plan, to have fully equipped film city, for shooting in the State.

Doors Of Badrinath Temple Opens With Adherence To COVID Protocols
The doors of Badrinath Temple opened on May 8, with flowers, light decorations, and the joy of devotees. The doors opened days after Kedarnath Temple, which opened on May 6. The annual Chardham Yatra began on May 3. According to the Uttarakhand Government, 15,000 pilgrims are allowed daily at Badrinath temple, with a negative Covid-19 test report and vaccination certificate. Notably, the Char Dham Yatra started on May 3, 2022.

Uttarakhand CM Dhami Announces Opening Of 'Yamunotri Dham'
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami declared that the "Yamunotri Dham" door will open on May 3. He further wished everyone a happy, pleasant, and devotional Char Dham Yatra. Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to sacred river Yamuna. The temple attracts thousands of devotees and tourists every year as it is a part of Char Dham along with Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

BJP Meeting To Form Uttarakhand Govt Is Underway
BJP leader Amit Shah, is scheduled to conduct Uttarakhand legislature meeting to discuss the formation of Uttarakhand government. Notably, acting CM Pushkar Singh Dhami is likely to become the Legislative Leader of Uttarakhand, even after losing against Congress leader in 2022 Assembly elections. It is to be noted, Uttarakhand MLAs are ready to vacant seats, to make way for Dhami. As per constitution, a MLA could be a CM.

Uttarakhand CM To Donnate A Month's Salary Towards State CMRF
Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on October 22 that he will be contributing his a month salary of October towards Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Relief Fund. Char Dham Yatra Begins From September 18: Uttarakhand Govt
