Uttarakhand Farmers Destroys 4.25 Acres Of Banana Crops Due To Low Prices
Farmers in Uttarakhand's Uttam Singh Nagar district were forced to destroy their banana crops planted in 4.25 acres due to low prices. Reportedly, the three brothers had invested in banana crop over the advice of horticulture officers in 2019, but failed to get buyers promising satisfactory rates. Farmers engaged in cultivation of fruits and vegetables are known to be common victims as prices fall in wholesale markets.

Uttarakhand Starts Villages' Relocation; Entire Project Needs Rs 10,000 Cr
For the 385-village relocation project planned in 2017 by the Uttarakhand government, work for 5 villages have been started following the government's Rs 2.38-crore fund allocation on February 11.
