India Registered 5,554 Covid-19 Cases With 18 Fatalities

India registered 5,554 new Covid-19 cases, taking the active cases tally to 48,850 by September 10. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed the data and reported 18 deaths and a recovery rate of 98.70%. With this, there are 48,850 active cases, 5,28,139 deceased cases and 4,39,13,294 recovered cases. In addition, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered 214.77 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Free Booster Vaccination Drive Begins Across India

Nationwide special booster vaccination drive for eligible people, (18-59) years old age group, begins on July 15. The vaccine drive has been launched under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to mark the 75 years of Independence of India. Eligible people who have completed their two Covid-19 vaccine doses, and have a duration gap of six months between the booster and two doses, can take booster in their respective states.

India COVID-19 Cases Update: Reports 3,207 Cases With 29 Fatalities

Around 18.64 Crore Unutilised Covid Vaccine Doses Available With States, UTs

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shared on 7th May that over 18.64 crore unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with states and Union Territories. More than 193.53 crore doses have been provided to the states and the UTs so far through the Government of India, the Union Health Ministry noted. The Covid vaccination drive had started in India on January 16, 21.
