COVID Recovered Patient Develops 10 Times Antibodies Than Others: Study
A recent study over COVID-19 Vaccines in India have suggested that one dose of vaccine is enough to develop a good amount of antibodies in the recovered patients. In order to study patients, researchers have divided the group into two with COVID positive & other as negative. "The COVID + group had developed 1000 units of antibodies which is 10 times more than non-Covid-19 group," says researchers at AIG Hospital, Hyderabad.

"Should We Hang Ourselves?": Min Sadananda Gowda On Vaccine Shortage
Chemical and Fertilizers minister DV Sadananda Gowda vented out his frustration when asked about the pertaining vaccine shortage in India. Talking to reporters on May 13, he said, "I want to ask you, if the court says tomorrow that you have to give this much (vaccine), if it has not been produced, should we hang ourselves?" He also discarded allegations of political motives and assured of improvement in the situation.

Adar Poonawalla Says Vaccine Shortage To Continue For Few Months
Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla has stated that the vaccine shortage is likely to continue for the next few months. Currently, the company is producing 60-70 million doses of Covishield a month but eyeing to ramp up the capacity to 100 million doses per month by July. He stated that the production capacity was not upped earlier as authorities did not expect the second COVID-19 wave.

No Vaccine Shortage, 43 Million Doses Stocked: Health Min Harsh Vardhan
Discarding the claims of COVID-19 vaccine shortage, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on April 8 clarified that India has 43 million vaccine doses, either stocked or in supply pipeline.
