Amul Requests PM Modi To Ban PETA, Cites Conspiracy Against India
Amul vice-chairman Valamji Humbal has requested PM Narendra Modi to ban People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after the organization suggested the diary firm to adopt vegan milk. Calling the global NGO "opportunistic", Humbal said PETA is "part of the conspiracy" to render unemployment in India and harm the country's GDP. Besides, he accused PETA of planning to hijack the Indian market with its own plant-based milk and food.

Amul Replies To PETA Over 'Switch To Vegan Product' Suggestions
Dairy cooperative Amul India’s MD RS Sodhi has questioned PETA over its suggestion to switch over to vegan products. Taking to Twitter, Sodhi asked, "will they (PETA) give livelihood to 100 million dairy farmers (70% landless)?"
