Tata Motors is to introduce new models and extend existing model lines in order to maintain its leading position in the SUV sector. The automaker also intends to provide new trims and variations with feature updates to meet changing client demands. "We plan to further expand the SUV space by adding new nameplates/variants at regular intervals and expanding our consumer base," Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Vice President Rajan Amba said. 

Hyundai has finally unveiled the much-anticipated new 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUV. The front-side of the SUV has been redesigned. The fresh model has a redesigned interior and a much bigger Parametric design, headlights with a greater curve, redesigned air conditioning ventilators that run from the instrument cluster to the doors, and much more. The new model also comes with USB-C connections and a functional WiFi Hotspot feature.

The Rishikesh-Badrinath highway is now open for the public after it was closed due to heavy rainfall, the District administration of Tehri confirmed on September 2. Earlier on August 27, Ashish Shrivastava, DM of Devprayag, issued an order to close the route between Tapovan and Devprayag owing to debris caused by heavy rains. Vehicles are now allowed to commute from 8 am-5 pm.

As a part of the proposed vehicle scrapping policy, the government will announce incentives for voluntary scrapping of old and unfit vehicles. Reportedly, scrapping centres will be established through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Road Secretary Giridhar Aramane said, "The government will only play a facilitating role, it will not involve in regulating, controlling the scrapping centres." Amazon Alexa has got an update, called the Auto Mode, which concentrates on vehicles. The update will allow users to convert their mobile to a smart and driver-friendly display. The auto mode comprises of four screens: Home, which gives an one-touch access to the most used actions; Navigation, provides access to favourite locations; Communication, to place a call and other communications; Play, which shows the last media file played.
