Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu asked schools to forge a strong moral character in children and instil the national values of oneness, harmony and universal brotherhood from a young age. On July 30, Naidu was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Hyderabad Public School. The retirement of two third of the members of Rajya Sabha this year, turned out to be one-of-a-kind. The upper house whose two third of the members retire once in two years, witnessed the retirement of 72 members, and a record attendance of 203 members, on March 31. About six sitting members of the house have volunteered to offer vocal and musical performances during dinner organised by Chairman Venkaiah Naidu.

Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu will be chairing a Rajya Sabha floor leaders meeting. Scheduled on January 31, at 5 pm, the meeting will be held virtually. During the meeting ahead of the Union Budget session, leaders will discuss MP suspension issue, budget session, COVID-19 spread amongst Parliament members and oppositions ruckus to disturb the session. Notably Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman will present 2022-23 budget on February 1.
