JNU Gets 1st Women Vice Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) appointed its first women Vice Chancellor, on February 7. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit's appointment was with the approval of President Ram Nath Kovind and the Ministry of Education, for a duration of five years. The 59-year-old Pandit is also the alumni of the JNU and is currently the VC of Savitribai Phule University. She studied MPhil and has PHD in International Relations.

President of India Ramnath Kovind appointed Professor Yogesh Singh as the Vice- Chancellor of University of Delhi, on September 22. Yogesh Singh is an NIT Kurukshetra alumnus and holds an MTech and PhD in computer Science. He was also the Vice- Chancellor at Delhi Technological University and the Director of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.

UP: Deputy CM Directs Universities To Conduct Exams By Aug 15

The exams in Uttar Pradesh Universities are scheduled to be conducted by August 15, said Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Dinesh Sharma to all the Vice-Chancellors of the state universities. Allahabad University Finds Its First Ever Woman VC In Prof Sangita Srivastava

Prof. Sangita Srivastava became the first-ever woman to hold the position of a regular vice chancellor (VC) at the Allahabad University (AU). Set to join the new post on December 7, Prof Srivastava has resigned from the current charge of the VC of Prof Rajendra Singh University. She joined the AU as a lecturer in 1989 and continued there before she was made the VC of Prof Rajendra Singh University in June 2018.

Himachal Education Regulator Calls for Bio-data of VC's of Private Universities

Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HPPEIRC) has asked private universities to submit the bio-data of Vice-chancellors, for verification. Pondicherry: Students Demand Withdrawal of Fees for Facilities not Availed
